About the job
As a Maritime and Port Security Inspector, you will enter an exciting phase where you become part of a group of engaged employees who are building something new! You will contribute to creating and improving working methods that deliver value for both the Swedish Transport Agency and society at large. Your tasks will vary from routine matters to complex investigations.

You will
- be both directive and supportive in the permit and supervision work for maritime and port security. This includes both document review and visits to operations
- develop new working methods and new methodology for port security, where new regulations are on the horizon
- participate in the work on regulation development
- plan and conduct internal and external training and information activities
- collaborate and cooperate on a national level with other authorities, interest organizations, and the industry
- collaborate with other countries on maritime and port security issues.
You must have
- a completed education from a university or university college with a focus on protection, security, or maritime affairs, or other post-secondary education combined with a few years of experience from the protection or security area that we assess as equivalent
- current work experience in investigation and analysis work, e.g., risk and vulnerability analysis
- very good ability to express yourself well orally and in writing in Swedish
- good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in English
- Category B driver's license.
It is an advantage if you also have
- experience in performing permit and supervision work
- experience in work within maritime and port security, e.g., as CSO, PFSO, PSO, or SSO
- experience in working in public administration.

More information
The position is permanent with placement in Stockholm. The office is currently located in Kista. Appointment according to agreement. We normally apply a probationary period. As an employee here, there is an opportunity to work remotely to a certain extent. It is the needs of the operations and the nature of the tasks that determine if and to what extent this is possible. A position with us may involve placement in a security class. A security check with register control according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted. For some of our security-class tasks, Swedish citizenship is required.

The Swedish Transport Agency works to achieve good accessibility, high quality, safe, and environmentally adapted transport within rail, aviation, maritime, and road sectors. We create regulations, issue permits, and follow up on how they are complied with. Using our registers, we work among other things with fees, permits, and ownership changes.
Locations:
We have employees in 12 locations in the country. The largest part of the operations is in Borlänge, Norrköping, and Örebro.

Short about the Maritime and Aviation Division
The Maritime and Aviation Division contributes to a competitive, environmentally adapted, and safe transport system. We do this by maintaining registers, designing regulations, examining and issuing permits, and exercising supervision. We also operate in many contexts on the international arena.
We are located in Norrköping, Gothenburg, Malmö, and Stockholm and have approximately 300 employees organized into six units and one staff unit.
