Fornby Folk High School is one of three folk high schools in Dalarna with Region Dalarna as the main authority. Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a substitute folk high school teacher in mathematics and natural sciences for Fornby Folk High School. The full-time (100 percent) temporary position spans the academic year 2026-27 and includes, in addition to teaching in mathematics and natural sciences, scheduled study support, shared course responsibility and mentoring, work in the teaching team, and participation in the school's community activities. Subject teaching will take place in general courses (equivalent to upper secondary school) and will cover levels from basic mathematics to advanced mathematics level 2, and basic natural sciences to level 1a1 and 1a2.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Documented subject competence in mathematics and natural sciences
• Documented pedagogical education and/or teaching experience

Merits:

• Teacher certification and/or folk high school teacher education
• Pedagogical and practical experience working with individuals within the neurodivergent spectrum (NPF)
• Knowledge of or experience with folk high schools and their pedagogy
• Experience teaching mathematics and natural sciences at the upper secondary and/or lower secondary level

Personal Attributes:

Pedagogical skill and a good sense of interaction are crucial. In addition to subject competence and experience, great importance will be attached to personal suitability in this recruitment.
