The Education Department is responsible for preschool, primary school, special needs primary school, upper secondary school, and special needs upper secondary school. Responsibilities also include student health services, mother-tongue instruction, school transport, and school meals. We work to create an inspiring learning environment for approximately 10,000 children and students. We have a strong vision of building knowledge and creating dreams.

The Workplace

The Trelleborg Principal Area of Anderslöv/Alstad consists of Väståkraskolan, Alstad School and Preschool, as well as Trollskogen Preschool. The area is led by the principal together with 4 assistant principals and an administrative manager.

Väståkraskolan is located on the famous Landsvägen and is centrally situated in the village of Anderslöv, approximately 25 minutes from Malmö. The school has approximately 500 students in grades F-9. The school has its own sports hall, football fields, craft rooms, home economics room, library, and a large, bright dining room, Restaurant Lövet, as well as a creative and inviting outdoor environment. Väståkraskolan is a school where all students and staff come to learn for life and develop to their full potential. The school focuses on inclusive learning environments and ensuring that all students are met based on their own prerequisites.

Responsibilities

As a teacher for the school age centre (fritidshem), you, together with your colleagues, are responsible for driving and developing the after-school activities. In your role as a teacher for the school age centre, you are part of the school collaboration, teaching younger grades during the school day.

Together with your colleagues, you work in a team where you share a common responsibility for the students' learning. Together, you conduct development work within the after-school activities based on a developed annual calendar.

In addition to knowledge in various school subjects, students should also have the opportunity during the combined school day to develop self-esteem, identity, interaction, and various social skills. The after-school centre's activities play a major role in this context, with the goal of providing a meaningful after-school time for all students.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher for the school age centre.

You are secure in your role and create good conditions for students' learning and development throughout the day. To fit as a teacher for the school age centre with us, it is important that you have a great commitment to students' learning and co-creation, as well as an openness to new ideas. You are not unfamiliar with working in different learning environments where outdoor pedagogy is an important part. As a person, you are positive, driven, have good communication skills, and the ability to see the big picture. You thrive working in an environment that places high demands on flexibility, initiative, and social competence.

As a teacher for the school age centre, you are relational, have a positive attitude towards students, and clear leadership skills. Great importance will be placed on good collaboration skills and personal suitability.
