About the role and your responsibilities

As a primary school teacher specializing in after-school care (fritidshem), you will, based on your competence and experience, plan and conduct teaching and activities during school and after-school hours. You will actively work to develop, drive, and evaluate the after-school care activities in accordance with current governing documents.

At Backaskolan, primary school teachers in after-school care have excellent conditions for professional development. In addition to regular planning time, there is dedicated time each week for pedagogical discussions with other certified primary school teachers at the after-school center, aimed at strengthening the professional role and gaining in-depth knowledge of the assignment. Our teachers and after-school pedagogues share a joint responsibility for creating a desire to learn and engagement among the students. You and your colleagues in the work team ensure together that the activities are challenging and creative, both during school hours and on the after-school program.

Digital tools are used in teaching, and we work to promote the school's digital development in daily work. Within the allocated working time, there is room for joint planning, documentation, and follow-up.

We are looking for you

We are looking for you who are a certified primary school teacher in after-school care. You have a holistic view of the operations, and it is an advantage if you also have experience in the profession as well as qualifications in music, sports, art, or crafts.

As a person, you are creative, solution-focused, and responsible. You are driven by the desire to develop the school and after-school care activities and want to contribute to keeping them at the forefront. Your ability to collaborate is very good, and you easily build relationships with both students, colleagues, and guardians. You are interested in working thematically and thrive in work teams but are also expected to be able to work independently. Since the school uses digital tools, we would appreciate it if you have good IT skills.

About the workplace

Backaskolan is a preschool to grade 3 school with approximately 290 students located in Norra Fäladen in Lund. The school has a fantastic outdoor environment at the foot of Sankt Hans backar, and during our operations, we use the outdoor environment with our eco-bases. The school also has a world-class school library. We are looking for you who, with your competence and commitment, want and can contribute to the school's development. You will have an important role in close collaboration with dedicated staff and wonderful students.
