What does it mean to be a Store Manager at Sportshopen?

As a Store Manager, you are an operational leader, leading the daily operations and having the ultimate responsibility for the store and its staff. You motivate and lead your employees so that you together achieve the store's set goals.

The role also includes:

• Responsibility for monitoring key figures in your own store in line with the company's requirements.
• Responsibility for developing working methods and processes for how the store should function efficiently and follow Sportshopen's concept.
• Sales and profitability responsibility as well as resource planning in the form of scheduling and staffing.
• Recruiting and onboarding new store personnel.
• Implementing and ensuring that routines are followed.
• Creating a pleasant environment where employees have the opportunity to develop.
• Being a role model for your employees and leading them based on the company's values.

To succeed in the role, we see that you have:

• Experience in a similar role, preferably within retail.
• Experience working with staffing, building teams, and following up on key figures.
• Previous experience from a larger store environment.
• Good experience in customer service and sales, preferably within sports and apparel.
• Completed upper secondary education.
• Post-secondary education with a focus on leadership and/or economics (meritorious).
• Interest in and knowledge of sports and leisure products.
• Ability to convey knowledge to both colleagues and customers.
• Good financial understanding and a strong business sense.

Terms of employment

• The position is a permanent employment starting with a six-month probationary period.
• Working hours vary, and work on weekends may occur.
• Start date is by agreement – preferably as soon as possible.
• We may conduct both credit checks and extracts from the criminal record register.
