The Municipal Executive Board Administration works on behalf of the Municipal Executive Board. We lead, steer, support, and follow up to ensure the entire municipality is run efficiently and effectively. In total, we are about 400 employees distributed across five departments. As a Security Coordinator at Huddinge Municipality, you will have a key role in developing and driving crime prevention work – strategically, analytically, and close to the operations. Here you will have the opportunity to turn knowledge into concrete social benefit in a municipality where safety and security issues are highly prioritized.

About the position

In the role of Security Coordinator, you will specifically work on the assignment to develop Huddinge Municipality's crime prevention work. The Safety and Security Section has a mandate to lead and support work on safety and security issues by working strategically and governing on a municipality-wide level, and we currently consist of about twenty employees.

You will, among other things, work on developing, strengthening, and supporting the municipal corporation's conditions to work proactively against crime by processing, compiling, and following up on materials, analyses, method information dissemination, and supporting knowledge-raising activities such as lectures and seminars.

Continued focus will also be on further developing, maintaining, and contributing your expertise within crime prevention work. The role also involves sharing and presenting your analyses and produced material in various contexts and to different recipients within the municipal corporation. It is also important to gather, understand, and use other actors' corresponding work through environmental scanning.

In the role, it is important that you can combine strategic thinking with practical implementation. Special focus will be on performing situation assessment and analysis directed at specific parts of Huddinge Municipality. The position also involves some administrative work in the form of, among other things, documentation, organizational development, and handling requests such as motions. You will also participate in and lead various types of collaboration groups/forums.

Your profile

You are good at creating and maintaining trusting contacts and actively contribute to a good work climate and a culture that creates motivation, involvement, and engagement. You enjoy working both independently and together with others, and you have a good ability to collaborate with different professional categories.

In this role, we would like you to have:

• A university degree in political science, sociology, criminology, or a degree in another field that we can assess as equivalent
• Experience working with crime prevention within a municipality or authority
• Experience working with situation assessment and analysis
• Very good ability to document and perform administrative work
• Good ability to collaborate and include others in your work
• Good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing

Additional qualifications include:

• Knowledge of method and development work
• Good knowledge of municipalities' opportunities and challenges regarding crime prevention work
• Practical experience within municipal operations
• Experience handling large amounts of information from unstructured to structured form
