As a medical secretary at the Medicine Clinic, writing patient records is highly varied, involving different disease diagnoses and dictation. This means the terminology is broad, and you learn something new every day.

Your upcoming tasks include documentation in the medical record system Cosmic based on dictation, diagnosis coding according to ICD classification, handling referrals, mail handling, quality registers, and other healthcare administrative duties.

Working hours are daytime, Monday to Friday.

About You

We are looking for you who are trained as a medical secretary, or alternatively have training as a doctor's secretary or healthcare administrator, with good knowledge of the Swedish language and medical terminology. Previous experience within healthcare and knowledge of the Cosmic medical record system are meritorious.

As a person, you are engaged, meticulous, service-oriented, and you appreciate having varied tasks. As a medical secretary, you interact with many people, both patients and staff, both within and outside the unit. Therefore, we place great emphasis on good customer service and a service-minded attitude.

Your Future Workplace

The Medicine Clinic in Oskarshamn provides qualified internal medicine services available around the clock for our residents aged 18 and over. We are a group of medical secretaries working together on healthcare administrative tasks across the entire clinic.

Oskarshamn Hospital is one of three hospitals in Kalmar County and has just over 400 employees. The hospital is small, with fast decision-making processes and close contacts between units. Services include medical specialist care, radiology, planned surgery, and orthopedics. The hospital is located close to Oskarshamn center and near the archipelago.
