The company is one of the best-performing players in its industry, characterized by a dynamic work environment where cohesion, diversity, and respect for the individual are at the center. The business is run with high integrity and a strong focus on delivering customer experiences and services of the highest quality, while DSV actively works for a more sustainable future within the transport and logistics sector.
About DSV Air & Sea
In Sweden, DSV Air & Sea has a strong presence with several establishments, where Gothenburg is the largest and most business-critical site. Here, a significant part of the Swedish business is handled, with a turnover of approximately 1.5–1.8 billion SEK, where sea freight is the largest segment while air freight also plays an important role. The organization has grown through several acquisitions and is in an exciting phase, with the major integration of Schenker recently completed.
A clear focus going forward is to strengthen culture, leadership, and collaboration. DSV is driven by ambition, curiosity, and a desire to constantly develop, where we challenge ourselves, celebrate successes together, and build a culture where learning and support are a natural part of everyday life.
About the Role
As Branch Manager for DSV Air & Sea in Gothenburg, you have overall responsibility for the largest operation in Sweden and practically act as the “CEO” of the site. You lead an organization of approximately 140 employees locally, with a total of around 200 people in related functions. You have 4 direct reports and overall responsibility for approximately 20 managers across several levels.
You are stepping into an organization that has recently completed an integration journey following an acquisition, as well as a system change where the foundation is now in place. Your task is therefore to take the next step – to fine-tune, develop, and future-proof the business. A central part of the role is to drive change work related to culture, leadership, and collaboration, and to move from a fragmented organization to a unified, high-performing unit.
You have a large mandate to implement organizational changes, develop working methods, and ensure that the right structure and competence are in place for the future. The role also involves leading and developing the management team, ensuring productivity and profitability, and working strategically with the business's development over a 2–5 year horizon. You collaborate closely with commercial functions and act as a sponsor for major customers, but do not have direct sales budget responsibility.
About You
We are looking for a senior leader with at least 15 years of management experience and a documented track record of driving change initiatives in large and complex organizations. You have experience leading through multiple layers of management and are accustomed to handling organizations with many stakeholders in an international context.
You are not primarily an operational specialist but a leader who creates direction, develops people, and builds structure. Your strength lies in uniting teams, creating engagement, and establishing a culture where collaboration and accountability are in focus.
You have a commercial mindset, good business acumen, and experience working with customer relationships at a strategic level. As a person, you are communicative, unpretentious, and have the ability to navigate complex environments. Experience from the logistics industry is advantageous but not decisive; instead, we value your ability to bring new perspectives and drive development.
