What will you be working on?
As an investigator (utredare), you will:
- Work on developing and creating supervisory guidance for municipalities, county administrative boards, and the Police Authority in their mandate to perform supervision and permit assessment according to the provisions of the Intoxicants Act, the Tobacco Act and similar products, and the Act on Tobacco-free Nicotine Products.
- Provide advice and support, and follow up on municipalities' supervision and permit assessment, including some coordination of local and regional supervision.
- Collaborate with other agencies and participate in various internal and external meetings.
- Participate in other tasks within the unit's area of responsibility and operations, for example, responding to inquiries, developing work processes, reviewing texts, and monitoring the external environment.
Travel is expected in this position.
Who are we looking for?
Requirements for the position:
- Completed university education in law, political science, public health science, social science, or another relevant field.
- Several years of experience working in public administration with supervision or supervisory guidance.
- Experience writing texts with legal content, for example, through handling supervision cases, creating supervisory guidance, or answering questions within legally regulated areas.

- Experience working with advice and support towards other agencies/municipalities.

- Experience working at an agency/municipality with the Intoxicants Act, the Tobacco Act and similar products, or the Act on Tobacco-free Nicotine Products.
- Experience creating guidance material for agencies/municipalities.
- Experience creating material for internal and external presentations.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
- Good computer skills and knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Importance is attached to:
- Experience working with follow-up and statistical compilation.
What does the unit do?
The Alcohol, Tobacco and New Drugs Unit works with the Intoxicants Act, the Tobacco Act and similar products, and the Act on Tobacco-free Nicotine Products. Among other things, we provide supervisory guidance, work with the Alcohol and Tobacco Register, and the system for Knowledge Tests for Serving Licenses. We also monitor, investigate, and propose the narcotic classification of new psychoactive substances.

About the employment
You will be employed as an investigator with placement at our office in Solna or Östersund. The employment is a permanent full-time position starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date is as soon as possible according to agreement.
As an employee of the Public Health Agency of Sweden, you may be assigned to wartime duties. Some positions are classified security levels where Swedish citizenship may be a requirement. Security clearance will then be conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
At the agency, there may be an opportunity to agree on remote work up to 40 percent of your working time.
