RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of Public Health Coordinator, you work regionally to strengthen evidence-based and equitable public health work in Jämtland County.

The work involves identifying needs, initiating, planning, and implementing development initiatives based on evidence and proven experience. Results are followed up in line with regional goals, political priorities, and national knowledge support.

Currently, development work is underway together with the county's municipalities, focusing on children and young people, as well as the implementation of a new county-wide strategy for public health and security. You will enter a stage where there are great opportunities to influence the future development of these processes.

A central part of the assignment is to contribute to the development of a long-term and coordinated effort to promote the health of children and young people and prevent ill health early in life. You will drive long-term work to create structures and working methods that contribute to equal health and good upbringing conditions. You contribute to creating a more cohesive and evidence-based public health work by developing models, structures, and common working methods that strengthen actors throughout the county.

The work takes place in close collaboration with municipalities, civil society, regional operations, and other societal actors, where you build relationships, create consensus, and drive joint initiatives forward. You also serve as a strategic support to management and politicians, contributing analyses, background material, and recommendations on issues concerning children and young people, public health, and equality.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a university degree in public health science and experience from working with development issues in a politically governed organization. You have good knowledge of the region's areas of responsibility.

The work requires strategic overview and the ability to work in a structured and analytical manner. It places high demands on your collaboration skills, as you are expected to drive development across the organization and in collaboration with, for example, municipalities and civil society.

In the role of coordinator, you are expected to be confident in presenting to different target groups as well as leading meetings and driving processes forward. The assignment will over time be need-based, and we are therefore looking for you who thrive with varying assignment areas. Great importance is placed on personal qualities.
