We are looking for a course leader for our dance activities for young children at Aktiv Ungdom Malmö association for the autumn term of 2026.

We are primarily seeking leaders for our family dance classes for the youngest children, involving children from approximately 2 years up to about 8 years old dancing together with their parents, as well as dance training for both children and adults in mixed groups.

The position involves teaching for approximately 2–3 hours per week, typically on Saturdays or Sundays. This is a hourly-paid position for a period of 10–12 weeks during the autumn of 2026 (August/September to December), with a break during the autumn holidays. The position is located in Malmö.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is passionate about dance, loves dancing, and enjoys spreading joy through dance in a group setting.
• Has a good understanding of dance basics and is eager to teach and share your knowledge.
• Is a social person who fosters community and a sense of security for children, young people, and their parents.
• Is interested in development, both for yourself and for your students.
• Is self-reliant and takes full responsibility for your dance lesson, including opening/closing the premises, arming/disarming the alarm, taking attendance, etc.

Experience working with children of various age groups is desirable. A dance education is preferred but not mandatory.

You will work together with an assistant leader or another instructor.

Active Youth in Malmö is a children's and youth association that runs a community-driven Cultural School for children and young people (approx. 2–19 years old) on weekday evenings and weekends in the fields of dance, theater, musical, and art. We have several venues in Malmö, including in Kirseberg, Limhamn, and Malmö City. Our ideology and working method are based on age-segmented work with a strong focus on social interaction within the group. We naturally also value the development of the group and each individual student, but without an elite mindset. We also host numerous workshops, holiday activities, and events throughout the year.
