About Us

Dammsdalskolan in Vingåker is a boarding school with national intake, specializing in pedagogical interventions for children and young people within the Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NPD) spectrum. At Dammsdalskolan, we offer a holistic solution with school and accommodation within the framework of four school forms: primary school, upper secondary school, adapted primary school, and adapted upper secondary school.

Your Responsibilities

Dammsdalskolan offers you an exciting daily routine where you have the opportunity to meet each individual student based on their specific needs. We want you to have a strong commitment to your students and be skilled at building relationships with others. Your ambition is to always keep the student in focus, and you are convinced that everyone can learn more based on their own individual prerequisites. You have a deep understanding of students' differences in learning, and you treat students with clarity and high positive expectations.

You are an active person who works to create a stimulating and developing operation with the student's needs at the center. You have a great interest in our approach and see it as a matter of course in all parts of your assignment.

Your Competence

We are looking for you with a teaching license and a special education degree, as well as experience working with students within the NPD spectrum. You have specialization in intellectual disability and education in reading and writing. If you have a special passion for the student group within adapted schools, we have a place for you in our operation.

In this role, it is important that you enjoy walking and standing, moving a lot during a workday, as well as having the patience to be still and wait. It is necessary to enjoy challenges and challenging situations and to see them as developmental in your professional role. You are challenged to look for underlying causes of what happens in student work and rather look at what lies beneath the surface than what you actually see. If you see the possibilities and want to contribute to creating developmental, stimulating, and experiential days for our students, then we are looking for you.

You have inner drive, and an interest in digital tools is meritorious. We place great emphasis on personal qualities. A driver's license (Category B) is required.
