We are looking for dance instructors for our "Funkis" (inclusive sports/recreation) activities at the association Active Youth Malmö for the autumn of 2026.

Job Details and Schedule

The role involves teaching approximately 2–6 hours per week. This is a hourly-paid position for work on Saturdays during a 12–14 week period, with breaks for school holidays. The assignment covers the autumn of 2026 (approx. August/September–December) and is located in Malmö.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Passionately loves dance, enjoys dancing, and wants to spread joy through dance in a group setting.
• Knows the basics of dance and is eager to teach and share your skills.
• Is a social person who fosters community and a sense of safety for all children, young people, and their parents/guardians.
• Is interested in development, both for yourself and your students.
• Is self-reliant. You are solely responsible during your dance lessons, which includes tasks such as locking/unlocking the premises, securing the alarm system, and taking attendance. In some groups, we work with a dance assistant.

Activities and Target Group

We are primarily seeking dance instructors for our activities for children and young people with functional variations, aged approximately 8–15 years. Knowledge of various dance styles is a plus.

A dance education is meritorious, and experience working with children with functional variations is highly valued but not a requirement. We welcome applicants with diverse backgrounds and skills in dance.

About Active Youth Malmö

Active Youth Malmö is a children's and youth association that runs a community-driven Cultural School for children and young people (approx. 8–15 years) on weekday evenings and weekends. We offer activities in dance, theater, musicals, and art. We operate in several locations in Malmö, including Kirseberg, Limhamn, and Malmö City Center.

Our ideology is based on methodical work with age groups, placing a strong emphasis on social interaction within the group. We value the development of both the group and the individual student, with no elitist mindset. We also host numerous workshops, holiday programs, and events throughout the year.
