Båstad Montessoriskola Asken is located in the picturesque Bjäre peninsula, in the village of Grevie. The school is run by a parent cooperative where the board consists of parents and staff. The association also runs two preschools in the municipality, and in total, there are approximately 225 children and 53 adults in our operations.
Montessoriskolan Asken has just over 150 students aged 6–12. We work in age-integrated classes and operate from a holistic perspective where every student is seen, guided towards personal responsibility, and develops both academically and socially. We work in teams where teachers and other pedagogical staff collaborate closely.
We work closely with the students in a coaching manner and are aware that we adults are important role models for the children. Sustainable development is a natural part of our operations, and we are a certified Green Flag school.
We are now looking for an engaged Home and Consumer Studies teacher who wants to help create inspiring, secure, and developmental teaching for our students. In this role, you plan, implement, and evaluate teaching based on the curriculum and the students' different needs and conditions. You work to spark the students' curiosity and give them practical and theoretical knowledge for life.
We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in Home and Consumer Studies, or have other education and experience that the employer considers equivalent. Experience from working in primary school is meritorious.
As a person, you are secure, engaged, and solution-focused. You have high expectations of the students and meet them with both support and challenges based on their individual needs. You are structured in your work and have the ability to create a calm and clear learning environment.
You easily create good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues, and see relationship-building as an important part of your pedagogical work. You meet the students with clarity, warmth, and respect, and actively work to create a safe and positive learning environment where all students feel seen and included.
