Job Description

The Swedish Prison and Probation Service's national transport operations are now looking for a Security Officer for the Transport Security Section, located at the transport office in Solna. As a Security Officer at the Transport Division, you will report to a group manager who is your direct supervisor. In your daily work, you will assist prison inspectors at the transport office in leading and developing the section's operations towards established goals with a focus on security. You will also provide advice to transport planners and probation officers regarding assessments in planning and operational security issues concerning the execution of transports. In addition, you may be responsible for one or several national assignments within the field of transport security, which involves some travel and occasional temporary work assignments at some of our other transport offices.

The work is largely operational, where you collaborate with other security functions within the Transport Office and the rest of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service, but you also work administratively with issues concerning security, standardization of routines, and the education area. The work also involves preparing and presenting cases for the local management group and assisting them in operation-related reporting and analysis.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Complete upper secondary education (high school diploma)
• Experience working in government service or the public sector
• Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish.
• Valid driver's license (Category B)

The following is also meritorious:

• Experience working in the security field
• Experience working in a leadership position within transport
• Experience from working within various branches of the Swedish Prison and Probation Service with good references
