About the role and your responsibilities

Do you want to make a difference for adult learning and the future at Komvux Lund? We are now looking for an engaged teacher in mathematics and natural sciences who wants to contribute to developing and strengthening our operations.

As a teacher with us, you work together with colleagues in a work team where you jointly plan, implement, and develop the teaching to create good conditions for student learning. The position is primarily focused on mathematics at the upper secondary level, but will also include teaching in natural sciences.

In the role, you are responsible for the planning, implementation, assessment, and follow-up of the teaching. You adapt the teaching based on students' different needs and prerequisites and actively contribute to the development of our courses in both on-site and distance education. Here, you have the opportunity to influence and further develop teaching within future adult education.

We are looking for you

We are looking for you who have teacher certification in mathematics and natural sciences at the upper secondary level, as well as experience in teaching these subjects. Qualifications in chemistry or biology are meritorious. You have good knowledge of regulatory documents and GY25 (the upper secondary school curriculum) and an interest in developing teaching and learning. Experience from adult education is seen as an advantage.

You are engaged in both your subjects and the students' development and have the ability to create motivation and participation in the teaching. You collaborate well with colleagues, work systematically, and use digital tools as support for students' learning. You continuously follow up and develop your teaching based on students' needs and the organization's goals.

As a person, you are receptive, clear, and development-oriented, and have a professional and relational approach to students and colleagues. You enjoy working both independently and together with others and have a solution-oriented working style. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

About the workplace

Komvux in Lund offers a wide range of education including SFI (Swedish for Immigrants), adapted education, apprenticeship training, basic and upper secondary courses, vocational training, and combined education. The operations are conducted at Gastelyckan and Campus Vipan.

We continuously work to develop the operations based on students' needs, focusing on flexibility, quality, and individual adaptation. Through our learning center, Kompassen, we offer students support in their studies to strengthen their opportunities to reach their goals.
