Region Östergötland operates three schools, which are grouped under the Regional Development Board. Vreta Education Centre is located just outside Linköping, Himmelstalund Education Centre is in Norrköping, and Lunnevad Folk High School is situated between Vikingstad and Mantorp.

At Vreta Education Centre, the Nature Management Programme offers specializations in agriculture, horse management, and forestry, as well as the Vehicle and Transport Programme's transport specialization. This includes the specialization for Professional Drivers and the nationally recruiting specialization for Recovery Drivers. National Sports Education (NIU) is offered in equestrian sports (dressage or show jumping). Vocational adult education (Yrkesvux) and vocational higher education programs are available in agriculture, horse management, and forestry. The Adapted Upper Secondary School offers the national program Forestry, Land, and Animals.

Job Description

We are looking for you with competence in agriculture and a strong commitment to training others in machinery technology and crop production. You are up-to-date in the industry and feel confident teaching students at the upper secondary level – both theoretically in the classroom and practically in the workshop and out in the fields.

You have a good ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work efficiently and meet deadlines to achieve good results. As part of the team, you actively contribute to the development of the operations, build and maintain industry contacts, and work based on the school's value base. In the role, you collaborate closely with colleagues, both within the unit and at the school farm, regarding the planning of teaching, both individually and jointly. Together with other staff, you strive for a cross-curricular approach and an stimulating learning environment for the students.

Work Group

You will become part of the agriculture unit, which consists of 27 teachers, mentors, and student assistants under the leadership of a unit manager.

About You

You have relevant education in agriculture, and we would prefer that you have a teaching license. If you lack teacher training, experience working with young people in a pedagogical or learning environment is meritorious.

We place great importance on personal qualities. You enjoy meeting young people with different needs and prerequisites and have the ability to lead, engage, and motivate students to develop within your subject area. In your pedagogical role, you are outgoing, social, and relationship-building, with an easy ability to create and maintain good contacts.

You are calm, stable, and maintain a professional attitude even in pressured situations. The position also requires good teamwork skills, sensitivity, clear communication, and that you serve as a good role model for students and colleagues.
