Your responsibilities
Theme Technology and Social Change (Theme T) is a nationally and internationally leading environment for research and education, where social science, humanities, and interdisciplinary perspectives on technology, science, medicine, and social change are at the center. Research and teaching focus on how people create and use technology, and how technological change is intertwined with knowledge, politics, practice, and ethics. The department offers doctoral education and undergraduate and advanced-level education focused on questions regarding technology and social change. The education includes a bachelor's and a master's program in urban and regional planning, as well as courses in philosophy of science and history of technology, among others.
As a University Lecturer in Technology and Social Change, you will teach at both undergraduate and advanced levels in Swedish and English, and supervise students within our programs. The role may include course responsibility. The appointment is focused on teaching within the bachelor's program in Urban and Regional Planning and the master's program in Strategic Urban and Regional Planning. The teaching will be particularly focused on Geographic Information Systems (GIS), digital tools, urban and regional planning processes, and theoretical perspectives on urban and regional planning.
You are active in the research community, participate in the department's activities such as seminars and workshops, engage in research projects, communicate results through academic publications, and contribute to attracting external research funding.
You actively contribute to the university's development work.
Your work involves following developments nationally and internationally within your field of expertise and broader societal developments that are relevant to your work.
You are flexible and capable of moving between different types of pedagogical and scientific contexts. You share knowledge and contribute to the professional development of the work group, collegial working methods, and social cohesion. We consider your presence and active engagement essential to perform your duties effectively and thrive in the work community.
