Do you want to inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs and equip young adults with vital knowledge in economics and law? We are looking for an engaged upper secondary school teacher in economics for Linnégymnasiet, where you will guide our students towards their goals with a sense of security, joy, and high quality during an exciting academic year.

Your responsibilities

As an upper secondary school teacher in economics, you create good conditions for learning and guide students towards the organization's goals. You have a varied assignment where you primarily meet students on the Economics Programme. The position is a temporary assignment (100%) during the academic year 2026/2027.

You will teach the following courses:

  • Business Law (Gy11)
  • Entrepreneurship and Business (Gy11)
  • Upper Secondary Project Work (Gy11)
  • The Law and Society (Gy11)
  • Purchasing Level 1 (Gy25)
  • Law Level 2 (Gy25)

In your daily life as an upper secondary school teacher in economics, you meet students with relational leadership, where security and joy in the classroom are the foundation for good academic results. You have overall responsibility for your groups, which means that you independently plan, conduct, and evaluate your teaching based on the curriculum, with digital tools as a natural part of the classroom.

The role is independent but not solitary. To create the best conditions for each student, you have a close and structured collaboration with your colleagues in the work team as well as with the school's student health service. By sharing experiences and reflecting together, you actively contribute to our collegial learning and strong pedagogical quality at Linnégymnasiet.

Your workplace

Linnégymnasiet is a place for meetings between people – meetings characterized by mutual respect and joy. All operations are based on and stem from the school's value base - quality, knowledge, security, and joy. Our teaching is based on relational leadership where the student is in focus. We share the building with Linköping Sports Upper Secondary School. We are located centrally in Linköping, in the Kunskapsgallerian.

Linnégymnasiet consists of approximately 500 students and over 70 staff members. We offer the Child and Youth Programme, Sales and Service Programme, Hotel and Tourism Programme, and Care and Nursing Programme, which is part of the Care and Nursing College. IVAS is part of the upper secondary school targeting students with autism spectrum disorder with approx. 100 students. The Economics Programme is being phased out and will no longer be available at Linnégymnasiet from the autumn term 2027, making this academic year an important and concluding part for the programme's students.

As a teacher at Linnégymnasiet, there is a strong focus on having a holistic view of the student's learning and well-being in collaboration with colleagues, student health services, and other relevant functions. You are part of a subject group and a work team where you have close collaboration with engaged colleagues.

You who apply

We primarily seek you who have a teaching license with eligibility to teach in upper secondary school. Secondarily, we seek you with a completed teacher education for upper secondary school. Alternatively, you are at the end of your education to become a teacher in upper secondary school. It is meritorious if you have eligibility in the subjects of economics and law for upper secondary school.

It is a requirement that you have experience of working in a curriculum-based school through practice or as an employee. It is meritorious if you have taught in upper secondary school for at least one academic year. It is also meritorious if you have experience of setting grades or alternatively documenting students' learning during the academic year.

In your role as a teacher in upper secondary school, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Gy11/Gy25) and other regulatory documents. You have good communicative skills in speech and writing in the Swedish language. This is because, according to the curriculum (Gy11/Gy25), you should organize and carry out the work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development.

As a teacher, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students and let them participate in the design of the teaching. In a quality-conscious way, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document this. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in society that occur in your professional role.
