Your responsibilities

As a teacher, your starting point is to work with planning, teaching, evaluation, and values-based work based on the national curriculum. The work is carried out both independently and in collaboration with colleagues.

As a teacher for grades 7-9, you collaborate with guardians, colleagues, and other stakeholders in the school to achieve higher goal fulfillment and create the best conditions for every student. You base your work on the student group you meet and are expected to create varied and challenging teaching. Using digital tools is a natural part of your teaching.

You promote collegial learning through discussion and reflection at both planned and spontaneous occasions. To benefit the students' learning, as well as your own and the organization's development, you take advantage of the experiences and knowledge of different professions.

This position involves teaching Art in grades 7-9 and acting as a mentor. You teach Art independently in our beautiful and well-equipped art room. You collaborate, among other things, in subject groups with colleagues who teach other practical-aesthetic subjects.

Your workplace

Ånestadsskolan is located near the central parts of Linköping and has two school units, F-6 and 7-9. Each unit has a principal and an assistant principal. This position is located in the 7-9 unit, which has approximately 270 students and 45 employees. Students come from various parts of Linköping Municipality. We have an inspiring outdoor environment with proximity to nature.

You who apply

We are primarily looking for you who have a teaching license with eligibility to teach Art in grades 7-9. In the second instance, we look for you with a completed teacher education for grades 7-9. Alternatively, you are at the end of your teacher education for grades 7-9.

It is a requirement that you have experience of working in a curriculum-based school through practice or as an employee. It is an advantage if you have taught in grades 7-9 for at least one school year or have experience of mentorship.

In your role as a teacher in grades 7-9, you have good knowledge of the school's mission and are well acquainted with the curriculum (Lgr22) and other regulatory documents. You have good communicative skills in speech and writing in the Swedish language. This is because, according to the curriculum (Lgr22), you should organize and carry out the work so that the student receives support in their language and communication development. You are responsible for ensuring that each student can use the Swedish language in a rich and nuanced way.

As a teacher, you are a good role model. You have the ability to adapt your teaching to the students and let them participate in the design of the teaching. In a quality-conscious way, you create good conditions for the student's development and learning and document this. You collaborate well with colleagues, guardians, and other contacts in society that occur in your professional role.
