Who are we?

At Uttersbergsskolan, you will meet a large group of curious students from preschool class to grade 3. The school is located in Krokek in a beautiful natural environment that we gladly use in teaching and after-school activities. From Norrköping, there are good train and bus connections; a bus/train departs every 20 minutes, and the Krokek station is only a five-minute walk from the school.

The school is divided into four grade-based work teams, where there is close cooperation between teachers, after-school staff, student health services, and school leadership. In the after-school care center, we work for the students' learning and well-being based on goals we develop together at the start of each school year. The after-school care center provides our students with the best foundation for their future. They get the opportunity to try, re-evaluate, and consolidate their knowledge through experiential learning.

This autumn, we will participate in the Swedish National Agency for Education's Language Initiative in after-school care, which generally aims to strengthen students' language development, reading interest, and reading skills to improve their knowledge of the Swedish language.

We have a fantastic surroundings with proximity to a swimming pool, library, artificial turf field, and the Kolmården nature area where we have access to two school forests. In winter, we are close to sledging hills and an ice rink. From Norrköping, there are good train and bus connections; a bus/train departs every 20 minutes, and the Krokek station is only a five-minute walk from the school.

Your responsibilities

In this position, you combine the role of teacher in after-school care with music teaching in grades 2 and 3.

You will, among other things:

• plan, implement, and follow up on pedagogical activities in the after-school care center with a focus on play, creativity, and social development
• be responsible for and lead music teaching according to the curriculum
• collaborate closely with other teachers and after-school staff to create a coherent thread for the student's entire day with us.
• work actively with safety, relationship-building, and inclusive learning environments for all students
• contribute to the school's development work, for example regarding student influence, cultural projects, and values-based work

Who are you?

You are a certified teacher in after-school care and thrive in the role as a clear and warm leader for student groups.

We would like you to have experience working as an after-school pedagogue, and it is important that you have knowledge of the after-school care center's mission and are well acquainted with the after-school care center's curriculum and other regulatory documents. You have a great interest in music, and if you have experience teaching music, we see this as an advantage. You need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

We place great emphasis on personal qualities and are looking for you who are an inspiring and engaged pedagogue who motivates children to develop and reach their goals. You are flexible and thrive in a changing daily life where you can quickly adapt to new situations.

You take initiative, see opportunities in the operations, and contribute actively to development. With your good collaborative skills, you create safe and positive relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.

You are curious and open to new ideas and working methods, and are happy to contribute to the development of the after-school care center's pedagogical activities.
