Who are we?

Built in 1862, De Geers School is Norrköping's oldest elementary school and today operates as a preschool to grade 3 school (F-3) with two after-school care units. The school is centrally located on the city's school street, Södra Promenaden. Our premises have been carefully renovated and adapted to the needs of our operations. The schoolyard invites both play and movement.

Your responsibilities

As a teacher for grades F-3, your main task is to carry out, be responsible for, and develop teaching in grades F-3 together with other educators. You are responsible for the class's teaching together with another educator/resource.

Mentorship is included in the position. During the school years you teach in preschool class, work at the after-school care is also included.

All existing tasks in our operations may be included as we are a small work group and work closely together.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher for grades F-3 and trained in reading instruction. We want you to have experience in reading instruction and work in lower primary school. We also value experience working with students in need of special support.

You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

You are well acquainted with the school's steering documents and knowledge of how to document your teaching and students' learning digitally. You analyze your and your students' results and develop your work for increased goal fulfillment.

We are looking for you who have good pedagogical skills where you adapt your teaching and communication based on the students' needs. You are receptive in your approach and skilled at creating good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

You are good at collaborating with other people and you make your colleagues even better. You organize, plan, and prioritize work in an efficient way. You are resilient in your work, motivated to achieve results, and willing to work.

Since we work with children, there are natural fluctuations in pace in the operations during the workday. Therefore, we see that you have the ability to handle stressful situations calmly and controlled, prioritizing tasks based on their urgency and importance.
