RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to make a real difference in students' learning and future?

We are looking for an engaged and knowledgeable special needs teacher for the middle school stage who is passionate about supporting students in their knowledge development. We are looking for you who want to work in a close and trusting collaboration with teachers and the student health team, as well as become an important part of our special needs team. Here, your expertise becomes an important part of our joint work in shaping learning environments where every student is given the opportunity to succeed. Your responsibilities include:

• Mapping, analyzing, and following up on students' knowledge development at the school, group, and individual levels, with a focus on mathematics as well as reading and writing development.
• Conduct special education, primarily in mathematics but also in reading and writing.
• Plan and implement targeted special pedagogical interventions.
• Conduct classroom observations and mentor and support teachers in special pedagogical matters.
• Be responsible for documentation, such as pedagogical investigations, reading and writing investigations, extra adaptations, and action programs.
• Participate actively in the student health team and in the school's overall development work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a certified special needs teacher with a focus on mathematics and who also have a teaching certificate in Swedish. You have a secure pedagogical anchoring and a good ability to translate your knowledge into practice.

We are looking for you who have:

• Experience with pedagogical investigations and work with evidence-based methods, as well as good knowledge of NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) and inclusive learning environments.
• Ability to build trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians through an attentive and flexible approach.
• Good cooperation skills and thrive in a consultative role where you support teachers in their special pedagogical assignments.
• Analytical ability to identify student needs at different levels and a personal drive to develop support around the student.
• Experience working with students with other mother tongues and a good understanding of their specific needs in learning.
• Good familiarity with digital tools and competence to use them as a natural support to compensate for and enhance students' learning.
