Visby Hospital is Gotland's only hospital and includes units for both emergency and planned care, such as an emergency department, as well as specialties within medicine, surgery, cardiology, infectious diseases, ophthalmology, ENT, pediatrics, maternity, gynecology, orthopedics, operating rooms, and intensive care. Psychiatry is also part of the hospital's services but is located geographically separate from the main hospital building in its own facilities.

The island location requires the resources of a large hospital while simultaneously offering the proximity and community feel of a smaller hospital. The staffing unit's task is to fill short-term vacancies within the healthcare sector's emergency operations, inpatient wards, and some clinics when there is a need for substitutes.

We are now looking for nurses for hourly employment via the staffing unit's substitute pool.

The more units you add to your breadth of experience, the better your desired working hours and availability can be matched with the needs of the operations.

Your Responsibilities

In the role of an hourly employed nurse with us, you will have a unique opportunity to care for patients across several different levels of care and medical specialties, primarily on inpatient wards but also within other units in healthcare. You choose yourself if you are interested in two or more units, and we build your introduction based on your experience and needs.

You work with standard nursing tasks in healthcare depending on the operational focus.

Who are you?

We welcome you who are a licensed nurse with the eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. You are confident in your professional role, your leadership, and your experience. You have a positive attitude, are flexible and service-oriented with good collaboration skills and a great commitment to your work. We are looking for you who want to contribute your knowledge and energy, where the ability to quickly adjust between pace and level of care is a central part. In your professional role, you are already today a role model for other colleagues and find it easy to collaborate for the patient's best care. If you also have a positive basic attitude and curiosity towards your own learning, you are the right person for us.

Language skills in Swedish corresponding to at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe's scale are a requirement.
