Do you want a thrilling, interesting, and challenging job? We are now looking for a special needs teacher (specialpedagog) with work directed towards the comprehensive school (grades 1-9). The employment is within the central Student Health Service unit of the Pre-school and Primary School Administration, which includes approximately 30 employees from various professional groups such as counselors, psychologists, school doctors, school nurses, and special needs teachers. The operations are conducted partly at the Student Health Service unit in central Mora, in the same building as the Mora Family Center, and partly in our pre-schools and primary schools, as well as to some extent in upper secondary schools, as they purchase certain services from us. The special needs teacher group consists of six employees. This position involves work within the comprehensive school grades 1-9 and is a 100% permanent position.

We offer you mentorship support from an experienced colleague and regular collegial support within your professional group. You work daytime, weekdays, and have the opportunity to influence your working hours within certain frameworks. Some administrative tasks can be performed remotely in agreement with the manager. You also receive a wellness allowance of 1200 SEK/year.

Responsibilities

The Student Health Service should primarily work preventively and health-promoting, supporting students' development towards educational goals. The work as a special needs teacher involves, among other things, assisting the principal and school staff in identifying barriers and opportunities to create accessible learning environments. The work is carried out in collaboration with students, guardians, and school staff; you will, among other things, supervise and educate school staff. The work also involves assisting management in organizational decisions and planning to develop accessible learning environments. You work primarily in interdisciplinary teams and have close cooperation with other professions within the Student Health Service, with the principal and various professions employed at the school, as well as with external actors. The work involves a significant amount of independent work where you manage your own agenda and take responsibility for ensuring your tasks are completed.

Qualifications

You must have a pedagogical education, experience from the profession, and further education as a special needs teacher. It is meritorious if you have experience working with students in need of special support. It is also meritorious to have experience driving development work and contributing to the administration's work in creating accessible learning environments in our schools.

You have the ability to build trusting relationships with students, guardians, staff, and colleagues. You have a customer- and citizen-oriented approach with the student and guardian in focus. You should be able to contribute to the overall student health work with your professional competence and have the ability to collaborate in interdisciplinary teams. You are communicative, flexible, have a positive attitude, are solution-focused, and development-oriented. You can also structure your own work and work independently. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.

• University education, certified teacher

• Fluency in Swedish, both spoken and written
