About the School

Practical Gymnasium Malmö City offers students a concept where theory is interspersed with practical exercises both at the school and at workplaces. At Practical, we hold ourselves to high standards to create the best conditions for a educational and enjoyable training. Our teaching is characterized by flexibility, proximity, and practical learning. Our program offerings include Childcare and Leisure, Care and Nursing, Plumbing and Property, Industrial Technology, and Sales and Service. Currently, the school has approximately 280 students and about 30 employees.

The school is located on Industrigatan in Malmö, an area that is expanding.

Your Role

The position is a permanent full-time employment starting as agreed. As a special needs teacher at Practical Gymnasium, you are an important part of our student welfare work and collaborate closely with teachers, students, and parents. Your role includes identifying and supporting students with special needs and developing adapted teaching methods to create an inclusive and accessible learning environment.

An important part of your work is to conduct screenings and analyze results at both school and group levels to ensure early interventions and the right support for each student. You will have a key role in systematically monitoring student development and working proactively and strategically with development initiatives.

We use digital tools to monitor student development and ensure good communication between all parties. You will work with systems such as StudyBee, SchoolSoft, and in a Google environment to document and follow up on students' learning and development.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are trained as a special needs teacher and have experience working with students in need of special support. You have experience working developmentally and health-promoting for students and are analytically minded. You are flexible and solution-oriented and find it easy to collaborate with different professional groups. You have good knowledge and experience of digital tools, especially StudyBee, SchoolSoft, and work in a Google environment. A background in mathematics is meritorious.

What We Offer

In addition, Practical Gymnasium offers internal training for newly hired non-certified teachers and has an ongoing collaboration with various national higher education institutions that offer further teacher education (VAL) to support our teachers in becoming certified.
