Vasabyrån is a service agency specialized in non-profit associations, delivering services within accounting, payroll management, and member notifications. Their customers are mainly affiliated with Saco and TCO unions, industry organizations, as well as companies and foundations linked to unions and associations.

To work efficiently and securely with information, Vasabyrån uses well-known digital tools and strives to ensure that employees feel involved and contribute to improving and streamlining their services in line with digital development.

Responsibilities

As a payroll administrator at Vasabyrån, you have overall responsibility for a number of payroll assignments and work closely with the company's customers. The role includes payroll preparation, control of discrepancy reporting, handling of expenses and travel accounts, as well as quality assurance of payroll-related information. You are an important contact person for the customers and act as a support in their varying needs within the payroll area.

You also have the opportunity to contribute to the development and streamlining of both internal working methods and customer-related processes. Your areas of contact are broad and include colleagues, customers, and external parties such as authorities and auditors.

The role requires good system proficiency as well as natural curiosity and interest in the payroll area. Vasabyrån primarily works in the payroll and HR system Flex HRM, which means you need to have good knowledge of the system and feel confident working independently in Flex HRM.

A selection of tasks

  • Check documents and information in the system before preparing salaries and fees

  • Ensure that relevant information from the customer is in place in good time before payroll preparation

  • Conduct payroll preparation

  • Participate in projects

  • Maintain dialogue with customers regarding payroll management

  • Quality-assure information before and after payroll preparation

  • Generate payment files

  • Report to authorities, pension administrators, etc.

  • Assist with monthly closing and audits with payroll-related accounting documents

Education, experience, and personal qualities

  • At least 3 years of work experience as a payroll administrator
  • Basic knowledge of collective agreements
  • Good knowledge of IT and systems
  • Previous experience working in Flex HRM
  • Advantageous with post-secondary education in payroll and if you are a certified payroll specialist
