About the role

As a project manager, you will play a central role in working with naval platforms such as ships, boats, and systems within the Navy's logistics and amphibious systems. In this role, you are responsible for planning, execution, and follow-up of projects. You lead the preparation of procurement documents, conduct procurements, and are responsible for the project budget. Furthermore, you assist in developing design solutions and lead negotiations with suppliers. You will be part of a knowledge-intensive team that uses your combined competencies to develop sustainable naval projects. In addition to working from planning to follow-up on current projects, you will also be responsible for ensuring that the execution of assignments towards the Swedish Armed Forces is in accordance with the agreed scope, time, cost, effect, and function. The assignments take place in close collaboration between industry, the Swedish Armed Forces, and various departments and units within the business area. The position is located in Karlskrona, and the work involves frequent travel both domestically and internationally.

About you

We are looking for you who are educated as a civil engineer or university engineer, or have equivalent competence acquired in another way that we assess as equal. You have relevant and current work experience as a project manager and additionally have experience in requirements management and budget responsibility. To succeed in the role, we see that knowledge of project management tools and methods is necessary. The position requires a Category B driver's license as well as good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.

If you have relevant experience in technical system work and system design, have independently led larger complex projects, or have worked with negotiations and public procurement, it is an advantage. Most meritorious is relevant experience from FMV (Swedish Defence Materiel Administration) or the Swedish Armed Forces. This also applies if you have knowledge of risk management in projects, use of naval materiel, or ship/boat systems for professional use.

In Karlskrona, there is the unit for Amphibious, Support, and Base Systems, which drives projects related to maintaining ship and boat systems for naval support, base, amphibious, and logistics units. Examples include Tross boats, School ships, Trossö, Carlskrona, Combat boats, and Artemis.
