Blekingetrafiken is part of Region Blekinge and is responsible for public transport in the county – buses, trains, ferries, school transport, transport services for people with disabilities, and healthcare travel. Our goal is to make it easy to live in Blekinge without a car and to encourage more people to choose public transport.

About 45 employees work here within areas such as traffic planning, customer service, marketing, and business development. Through contracted transport services, we also employ around 700 people. About the Job

We are looking for an IT Technician who wants to work operationally with IT related to Blekingetrafiken's vehicle fleet and traffic-related systems. The role involves varied work including installation, configuration, support, and maintenance of technical equipment such as ticketing and payment systems, infotainment screens, GPS, communication equipment, and networks.

You will work with troubleshooting and support both on-site at the operations and remotely, as well as participate in technical development projects and system and hardware upgrades. The role also includes documentation, updating of procedures and technical manuals, as well as testing and analysis of data flows and digital services.

The work is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues within Blekingetrafiken, contractors, and external suppliers. Therefore, we are looking for someone who is solution-oriented, service-minded, and has the ability to communicate technical issues in a clear and pedagogical manner.

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in IT, technology, networking, electronics, or equivalent experience
• Basic networking knowledge (LAN/WLAN, VPN, IP addressing)
• Understanding of system integrations and digital infrastructure
• Knowledge of mobile data communication solutions (4G/5G, WiFi)
• Experience with troubleshooting both software and hardware

• Has good communication skills and can explain technology in a pedagogical way
• Is service-minded and understands the societal mission of public transport

Other

• Good knowledge of English
• Class B driver's license is required as the position involves travel within Blekinge and field work

Merits

• Experience in operational IT work, field technology, or system operations
• Experience in installation and troubleshooting of hardware, networks, or communication equipment
• Experience from the transport sector, vehicle systems, or IoT environments
• Experience with Microsoft environments (Windows, Office 365, Microsoft Entra ID)
• Understanding of agile methodologies
