Professional Galaxy is looking for a Systems Engineer in HVAC on behalf of our client.

We are now seeking a systems engineer for an assignment in Karlskrona with experience in HVAC or auxiliary systems such as water-based systems, fire protection & plumbing.

The department you will be working in is responsible for heating, ventilation, fire protection, and all water-based systems onboard vessels. You will be part of a team with deep expertise, great commitment, and a desire to move forward.

Details: · Possibility of extension exists. · Location: Karlskrona, onsite. · We are conducting ongoing selection. · Start date is indicative. · The role involves, to a lesser extent, business trips related to delivery tests, trial trips, and verification work. · The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable security protection regulations. For positions with security classification requirements, this may involve requirements for certain citizenship.

In your role, you will be involved in the entire lifecycle of systems, from requirements analysis, product development to detailed design, commissioning, and verification. You will create the system architecture based on customer requirements and functional analyses. You will refine and follow your systems through the system development process until the functionality onboard is verified. The system must interact with other systems, which requires close collaboration with other departments. Thereafter, ongoing maintenance and upgrades throughout the vessel's lifetime. The work is complex, cross-technical, very varied, and requires both a holistic view and attention to detail.

Main tasks: •    Driving the development and ensuring functionality for one or more systems for surface vessels •    Requirements analysis, system definition, reports, and calculations •    Management of the project's internal and external stakeholders •    Supplier management and deep participation in the procurement process •    Performing system tests and verification onboard marine surface vessels.

Requirements for the assignment: •    At least a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, energy systems, or process technology, or equivalent knowledge assessed as equivalent •    You can be a recent graduate or an experienced engineer – personal qualities weigh heavily for this role. •    Professional level of Swedish and English in speech and writing

Desirable knowledge/experience: •    Marine engineering degree •    Background in the defense industry •    Experience in system design and system development •    Knowledge of CBRN protection, cooling water systems, fire extinguishing, or ventilation systems. •    Knowledge of standards and regulations for vessel classification, e.g., DNV/SOLAS/MARPOL •    Procurement processes and managing interfaces in complex projects •    Commissioning of systems, tests, and verifications •    Leading roles professionally or in leisure •    CAD 3D modeling [Aveva Marine, Engineering, and E3D] •    Driving license class B •    Skipper's certificate, boatmaster B, or other nautical competence
