We are now looking for an Association Consultant who wants to help develop and strengthen civil society and the sports movement in Ånge – while simultaneously contributing to the municipality's long-term societal development. The position of Association Consultant, with a focus on sports and societal development, is a collaboration between Ånge Municipality and RF-SISU Västernorrland. Ånge Municipality is currently undergoing a comprehensive societal transition. After several decades of population decline, the municipality is facing new establishments that create jobs and attract new residents. For people to thrive, move here, and stay, an attractive living environment is required – where a vibrant association life and good leisure opportunities are central parts.

The purpose of the position is to strengthen association life in Ånge Municipality and increase the benefit of associations' contribution to a socially sustainable society. The assignment targets all types of associations but has a clear focus on sports clubs. The position is funded 50% by Ånge Municipality and 50% by RF-SISU Västernorrland, meaning you work in close collaboration between the municipality and the sports movement. The placement is in Ånge, on the Community Planning Department within the culture and leisure area of operations. At the same time, you have a close collegial context within RF-SISU Västernorrland, together with sports consultants working on the development of sports in the county. The work is both strategic and operational, and takes place close to the associations' daily lives – often on-site in clubhouses, sports facilities, meeting rooms, and educational environments.

The Assignment:

• Establish contact and build relationships with the association life in Ånge Municipality
• Develop an action plan for the development of association life and its contribution to the municipality's development
• Conduct meetings with associations to map needs, challenges, and plan educational and development initiatives
• Contribute to the review of municipal grant and support systems

The role also includes, together with associations:

• Plan, market, and implement educational and training initiatives
• Provide association advice and process support
• Support associations in applying for external funding

Working Style and Conditions:

• A large part of the work is proactive/outreach, which involves travel within the municipality
• Evening and weekend work occurs, as this is often when association life is active

We are looking for you who:

• Have education in sports, leisure, public health, pedagogy, or equivalent experience
• Have experience with association life, preferably within the sports movement
• Enjoy meeting people and have the ability to listen, engage, and inspire
• Are self-starting, structured, and can switch between planning and practical implementation
• Meet associations with energy, joy, and a forward-looking attitude
• Are solution-oriented and see opportunities
• A valid driver's license is required

Merits:

• Experience in voluntary work as a leader or elected representative in a sports club
• Previous work with association development, education, or similar assignments

Ånge Municipality offers the possibility of some remote work if the operations allow, as well as a fitness hour and an annual fitness allowance. A probation period of six months will apply.
