About the School
Praktiska Gymnasiet in Falun offers students a concept where theory is mixed with practical exercises both at school and at workplaces. At Praktiska, we hold ourselves to high standards to create the best conditions for a educational and enjoyable education. Our teaching is characterized by flexibility, proximity, and practical learning. Approximately 240 students attend various vocational programs at the school, along with about 30 staff members.

We are located in completely newly renovated and inspiring premises at Myntgatan 6 (formerly Bergnilshuset). Here, you will work in a modern environment tailored for practical learning. We offer apprenticeship training, which provides a dynamic connection to the industry.

Your Role
We are expanding! The demand for our education programs is increasing, and we are now looking for an engaged colleague who wants to join our growth journey. The position is a permanent employment (with a probationary period) at 80%, starting in August 2026.

You will teach and supervise our students in the hairdressing program. Together with your colleagues, you will be part of a close-knit team where collaboration and student focus are at the center. We see you as an important and driving force in developing both the program and the subject. In addition to profession-specific tasks, you will have mentor duties, like other teachers at the school, coaching students both socially and academically throughout their three years with us. We communicate primarily through Schoolsoft and work in a Google environment.

Your Profile
We are looking for you who are a certified vocational teacher in hairdressing. We place great importance on personal qualities and your commitment to the profession. Do you not yet have a teaching certification but possess solid professional experience and a journeyman's certificate? Then you are also welcome to apply! In such cases, you and the principal will jointly create a plan for how you can achieve certification.

Since a large part of the students' study time consists of work-based learning (APL), good communication skills and contacts within the hairdressing industry are advantageous. We value your ability to meet students based on their needs and that you share our values.
