Special Teacher Grades 4–9 with a focus on literacy development
Do you want to be part of a school where student health and teaching go hand in hand? Where collaboration, relationships, and high competence permeate everyday life? Then you might be the person we are looking for.
We are now seeking a special teacher for grades 4–9, preferably with competence and interest in literacy development. Here, you will become an important part of a stable and competent student health team as well as a work team where several special teachers and special educators already exist. We value collegial learning and believe in the strength of developing together.
About the role
As a special teacher with us, you work closely with students in need of special support and are a key part of creating the prerequisites for their development, learning, and goal achievement.
The role includes planning, implementing, following up, and evaluating interventions, as well as documenting work related to special support. You mentor and support staff in working with extra adjustments and inclusive learning environments, contributing special pedagogical competence to daily work.
The work takes place in close collaboration with colleagues, guardians, and the student health team to create the best possible conditions for students' development and learning. Our operation also has a Special Needs Unit (SU) group, meaning you work flexibly together with colleagues based on different students' needs and prerequisites. There is also a special educator in the operation with overall responsibility for documentation regarding special support.
The position includes among other things:
- working closely with students with action plans
- planning, implementing, and following up on special pedagogical interventions
- documenting and evaluating special support
- mentoring and supporting staff regarding extra adjustments, learning environments, and special pedagogical challenges in teaching
- teaching students in smaller groups and in the classroom
- contributing to the school's development work and student health work
- collaborating closely with students, guardians, teachers, and student health services
We are looking for you who
Are a trained special teacher and are passionate about teaching and meeting children and young people where they are. You have a good ability to build relationships and an inclusive approach that builds security and trust.
We believe you are secure, flexible, and solution-oriented. You work independently but also appreciate teamwork and are happy to contribute to an open and learning climate. You have the ability to see both the individual's and the operation's needs and want to be involved in developing teaching and learning environments for all students.
Here, you will meet engaged colleagues, high competence, and a desire to make a difference — together.
