Ward C3 is a stroke and geriatrics ward with fifteen care beds.
Here, we combine stroke care, neurology, and geriatrics with teamwork and a focus on rehabilitation. We treat acute stroke patients, provide rehabilitation after stroke, and care for geriatric patients. We also treat patients with neurological diseases and injuries. We share premises with the medicine ward and collaborate closely.
Teamwork is central. The team includes nursing assistants, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, rehab assistants, doctors, as well as speech therapists, social workers, and dietitians. Every week, we hold team rounds where we plan and follow up on the care of rehab patients. As a nurse, you work with one to two nursing assistants and are responsible for five patients during the day and 7–8 in the evening. At night, two nurses and one nursing assistant work together.
We are a dedicated work group with person-centered care and a rehabilitative approach in focus. The nursing group takes joint responsibility for development and working methods, with strong collegial camaraderie.
We are looking for you who are engaged and want to develop with us. Based on interest, you can have a area of responsibility with the opportunity to influence and develop the operations.
If you are a newly graduated nurse and have received your license in the last twelve months, you will participate in the introductory year. Through skills training, reflection, and group discussions together with experienced nurses and other professions, you will develop your ability as a nurse. Through the introductory year, we want to give you, as a new nurse, the opportunity for clinical training, deepening, and reflection so that you get the best possible conditions to enter your new profession. Our hope is that after the introductory year, you will feel secure in your professional role and see competence development as a natural part of your work.
We offer work during the day/evening, night, or rotation, and we are happy to shape a position that suits you.
Your responsibilities
Based on evidence and proven experience, you plan, implement, and evaluate care together with experienced nursing assistants. You represent nursing in the multidisciplinary team and support patients and relatives during their stay on the ward. You coordinate care on the ward and prepare for discharge. You collaborate with relatives, other operations, and functions both within and outside the hospital.
The role includes supervising students and introducing new colleagues.
If you are newly graduated, the focus is on getting into your new role, and gradually you will take a larger part in areas of responsibility and operational development.
Who are you?
You who apply are a licensed nurse. You can be newly graduated or experienced and have an interest in working with stroke, geriatrics, and other neurological diseases. Experience with stroke, neurology, and geriatrics is a plus.
You are open, independent, and responsible. You want to develop in your professional role and actively participate in the development of the operations. You appreciate being part of a team and collaborating closely with colleagues. The work requires your ability to plan and prioritize your tasks even in situations where you need to switch quickly. You communicate well and are clear both in your communication and in your approach. You are solution-focused and flexible by nature.
Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
A background check through an extract from the criminal record register will be conducted before a decision on employment.
Selection will take place continuously during the application period.
