About the Workplace

The practicum positions are located within one of the three units on the Building Permit Department in Huddinge. Among our approximately 40 employees, there is great drive and engagement, supported by both colleagues and close leadership. There is ample opportunity to influence how we work, and we strive to simplify and clarify our advice and case processing.

We are located in Flemingsberg, easily and quickly accessible by bus, commuter train, and regional train. Naturally, some employees also work remotely a few days a week.

Your Responsibilities

As an intern, you will participate in the department's regular work. You will also handle a few simpler cases and provide advice and information to our citizens. You will have a designated supervisor but will also work with several different professional categories. When the practicum is complete, you will have experienced the tasks performed by Building Permit Officers, Building Inspectors, and Supervision Officers, and you will have learned about the department's administrative roles.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are studying a Vocational Higher Education (YH) program related to building permits and are to complete your practicum in Spring 2027.

To thrive as an intern with us, we believe you have the ability to build trusting relationships and are interested in verbal and written communication in various situations. You pick up new information easily, are good at collaborating with others, and help out in the ways needed within the team.

At the Environmental and Building Permit Administration, approximately 175 employees work within 40 different professional groups. Our employees work with everything from building permits to environmental supervision, maintenance of parks and natural areas, energy and climate advice, and cadastral surveys. Most work at Novumhuset in Flemingsberg, but we also have employees based in premises closer to our nature and parks. The Environmental and Building Permit Administration works on behalf of the Building Permit and Supervision Board and the Nature and Urban Environment Board. Additionally, the administration prepares materials for the Municipal Executive Board's Climate and Environment Committee. The municipal cadastral authority is also located within the administration, working on behalf of the national authority Lantmäteriet.
