About the Role

As a Security Guard (Skyddsvakt), your primary task is to deliver safety to our customers. You do this, for example, in a monitoring center or at an access control point. As a security guard, you have greater authority than a standard guard and often work in close cooperation with our customers' staff at sites of crucial importance to Sweden's security.

The work is independent and often feels free, but comes with significant responsibility.

The tasks are highly varied. As a security guard, you can work both indoors and outdoors, day or night. Shift lengths vary, but are often 12-hour shifts. As we are a 24/7 operation, working every other weekend is common.

For example, you will:

• Staff monitoring and control centers
• Ensure that unauthorized persons do not gain access to the sites
• Conduct internal and external inspections
• Be responsible for vehicle searches

Military Security Guard: If you have completed security guard training as part of the Swedish Armed Forces' basic training, it is validatable for civilian use. The training must have been completed in 2016 or later, and the certificate must not be older than 5 years.

Requirements

• Approved grades in Swedish and English from the first year of high school
• Category B driver's license
• Passed security clearance interview (conducted by Securitas)

Merits if you

• are a trained security guard with valid approval or are a trained guard with at least VU2 certification
• have relevant training for the assignment
• have longer work experience
• have weapons training

Salary and employment conditions are based on collective agreements between the employer organization Säkerhetsföretagen and the Swedish Transport Workers' Union.
