About the workplace

The Employment Services Unit in Håbo Municipality consists of 10 people. We are located at Centrumgränd 3 in Gallerian, opposite Fridegårdsgymnasiet. We offer a high-ceilinged workspace and a well-composed team working with employment issues, integration, as well as budget and debt counseling.

Your responsibilities

You will join the TIS project (Early Interventions in Collaboration) working alongside a sub-project manager. TIS targets citizens from third countries (non-EU citizens) and is funded by the EU. Your main tasks involve developing activities that accelerate integration, with a particular focus on developing Swedish language skills. You will coach participants towards employment, inform them about their rights and obligations, facilitate Swedish language learning, and support them in building networks in Sweden.

The position is a fixed-term contract until 2026-12-31, with the possibility of extension. There may be a need to hire a temporary worker for a shorter period over the summer while waiting for a more qualified candidate to become available from their current role.

Qualifications

We would like you to have experience in teaching Swedish to foreign-born individuals, or experience working with services for foreign-born people who have a slower progression in learning Swedish. It is an advantage if you speak several languages and have good knowledge of the labor market in Håbo Municipality and how Swedish authorities function.

A valid B-class driver's license is required.
