About the role

As an instructor, you guide a group of participants through exercises and activities within improvisational theatre. You create a safe and permissive environment where participants can explore, challenge themselves, and develop their expression.

In this role, you will:

• Plan and lead courses in improvisational theatre
• Create a safe, inclusive, and fun learning environment
• Work with exercises that develop spontaneity, attentiveness, and interaction
• Encourage participants to take up space and build upon each other's ideas
• Contribute to the development of our performing arts course offerings

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience in theatre and improvisational theatre in particular, perhaps from an arts program, folk high school, cultural school, and/or association activities.
• Thrives in interactions with people and enjoys leading groups
• Has a pedagogical approach and can adapt to different levels
• Is attentive, secure, and engaged

The most important thing is not your exact background, but your ability to create an environment where others dare and develop.

Meritorious:

• Trained as a theatre or drama pedagogue or theatre teacher
