We are looking for a BAS-U (Construction Site Safety Coordinator for the Execution Phase) for the Tvärbanan Kista Branch Program for a traffic authority.

This is a consultancy assignment. The location is Stockholm.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The role of Construction Site Safety Coordinator for the Execution Phase (BAS-U) involves working across programs within several projects and being part of a central safety team together with other safety resources. The assignment includes coordinating, monitoring, and ensuring safety work during the execution phase, in close cooperation with project managers, contractors, and safety strategists.

Responsibilities

• Organize and coordinate safety activities and promote safe behavior on the construction site.
• Ensure that a safety plan is established before mobilization, communicated to all active personnel, and consulted with responsible parties for fixed operating sites if necessary.
• Review and follow up on contractors' work preparations, risk assessments, and proposed measures in production.
• Ensure access control so that only authorized persons are present on the work site.
• Ensure that general and special safety devices are installed, maintained, and that responsibility distribution is clear.
• Ensure that technical equipment is inspected and that operators have the required competence and permits.
• Coordinate contractors working in parallel or in close temporal succession to achieve satisfactory safety conditions.
• Lead safety meetings and participate in, follow up, and document safety rounds.
• Plan and conduct safety audits together with the program's support functions.
• Ensure reporting of incidents and accidents and that corrective and preventive measures are implemented.
• Give clearance to contractors before production start and ensure that work tasks with special requirements are led by authorized persons.
• Ensure that contact routes regarding safety issues are clear when the BAS-U is not on site.
• Report to the project manager and safety strategist.

Requirements (OBS, mandatory)

• At least 4 years of work experience as a BAS-U in construction and infrastructure projects, of which at least one project must have had a budget of at least 100 million SEK.
• Documented BAS-U education.
• Fluent Swedish in speech and writing.

Meritorious

• At least 2 years of work experience as SOA (Track Area Responsible).
• Education in contract law, regarding AB04/ABT09.
