We are looking for inspection engineers for radio base stations for all regions of the Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket).

This is a consulting assignment with a flexible work location throughout Sweden.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The role involves conducting contract inspections of new and reconstructed radio base stations in accordance with current regulations (AB 04, ABT 06, etc.) for both road and railway projects. The assignment covers inspections of contract work across Sweden, where the consultant is responsible for expertise, technical competence, as well as the execution and follow-up of inspections.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for and carry out required inspections
• Monitor and ensure that the contract is executed according to the contract, drawings, technical requirements, and regulations
• Check and follow up that set requirements are met in the contract
• Follow up that norms, infrastructure requirements, and regulations are complied with by the designer and/or contractor
• Follow up that the basis for relationship documents is prepared and checked
• Participate in assignment reviews with the Swedish Transport Administration's project managers
• Use provided systems, documentation, and IT support in the assignment
• Apply the Swedish Transport Administration's regulations, standards, and supporting documents
• Plan the assignment in consultation with the client based on the schedule
• Participate in relevant meetings in consultation with the client
• Deliver documentation according to requirements for format, marking, and quality assurance
• Conduct self-control and ensure quality in deliveries
• Adopt the Swedish Transport Administration's code of conduct and complete mandatory training
• Ensure documented working methods for risk management when necessary
• Prepare a safety plan according to current requirements upon request
• Participate in final meetings and feedback of experiences at the end of the assignment
• Ensure organization and information transfer within the assignment

Requirements (OBS, mandatory)

• Certified contract inspection engineer.
• At least five (5) years of work experience as an inspection engineer, including at least two (2) years of documented experience in telecommunications, focused on radio installations.
• Knowledge of contract law.
• Good knowledge of roads for assignments related to road projects.
• Good computer skills.
• Ability to express oneself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
• Hold a category B driver's license.
• Knowledge of laws and ordinances as well as standards and regulations within radio masts and electrical work.
• When working in rail environments, the inspection engineer must have a valid BAS-U (Safety and Security Management for Work in Rail Areas) or equivalent approved by the Swedish Transport Administration.
• Good knowledge of standard agreements AB 04*, ABT 06*
• Knowledge of the content of ABK 09*
