The Education Department is responsible for preschool, compulsory school, special needs compulsory school, upper secondary school, and special needs upper secondary school. Responsibilities also include student health services, mother-tongue instruction, school transport, and school meals. Description

Lilje School is a compulsory school (grades F-9) with approximately 500 students, part of the "Tätort Centrum" (Urban Center) Principal Area. We are developing tools for future competencies, where IT increasingly serves as a pedagogical learning tool. We are investing in raising the competence of our educators to meet the demands and opportunities of the future. We have a well-functioning operation, and you will be welcomed by a cheerful team with broad competence and strong cohesion. We support each other when needed and always have room for laughter. We offer you a good work environment with stimulating tasks and opportunities for professional development. We have specialized staff who handle investigations regarding bullying and absenteeism. Each week, specific time is allocated for school development within subject groups. The school is centrally located with good commuting options.

Responsibilities

As a teacher, you will teach our students in Home Economics and Consumer Knowledge for grades 6–9. Together with your colleagues in the teaching team, you will create a good learning environment for each student. You will work as part of a team, adhering to the clarified responsibility assignment outlined in the Swedish National Curriculum for Compulsory School. This means that together with the principal and other colleagues, you will lead and develop daily school life to increase goal achievement. Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in Home Economics for grades 6–9. We would prefer that you have experience working with young people. You are passionate about your teaching role and bring good ideas on how we can develop our teaching, stay engaged with current research, and are ready to drive these initiatives together with your team. You are proactive, open to change, good at bringing people along, and inspire innovative thinking. As a person, you are development-oriented, have strong communication skills, and the ability to see the big picture. You thrive in an environment that demands responsibility, flexibility, proactivity, and social competence. You are a creative colleague who can provide students with good learning environments, build good relationships, and offer respectful treatment. We place great emphasis on personal qualities.
