Their clients are primarily affiliated with Saco and TCO unions, industry organizations, as well as companies and foundations linked to unions and associations.

Responsibilities

As a payroll administrator at Vasabyrån, you have overall responsibility for a number of payroll assignments and work closely with the company's customers. The role includes payroll preparation, control of deviation reporting, handling of expenses and travel accounts, as well as quality assurance of payroll-related information. You are an important contact person for customers and serve as a support for their varying needs within the payroll area.

You also have the opportunity to contribute to the development and streamlining of both internal working methods and customer-related processes. Your contacts are broad and include colleagues, customers, as well as external parties such as authorities and auditors.

The role requires good system proficiency as well as natural curiosity and interest in the payroll area. Vasabyrån primarily works in the payroll and HR system Flex HRM, which means you need to have good knowledge of the system and feel confident working independently in Flex HRM.

In addition to the operational work, you have team leader responsibility for three payroll consultants. You lead and distribute the daily work, support colleagues in their tasks, and conduct employee and payroll discussions. You contribute to structure, prioritization, and an efficient working method within the team. The role also involves being part of the management group together with four colleagues, where you jointly drive the development of the business forward. Previous experience in personnel responsibility is not a requirement – the most important thing is that you have the right personal qualities and a willingness to take responsibility and develop in a leadership role. You will receive support in the role and the opportunity to grow into leadership.

A selection of tasks:

  • Check underlying data and information in the system before preparing payrolls and fees
  • Ensure that relevant information from the customer is in place in time for payroll preparation
  • Conduct payroll preparation
  • Participate in projects
  • Maintain dialogue with customers regarding payroll management
  • Quality assure information before and after payroll preparation
  • Generate payment files
  • Report to authorities, pension administrators, etc.
  • Assist with monthly closing and audits with payroll-related accounting documents
  • Personnel responsibility for the team, including employee and payroll discussions
  • Lead, distribute, and follow up on daily work within the team

Education, experience, and personal qualities

  • At least 3 years of work experience as a payroll administrator
  • Basic knowledge of collective agreements
  • Good knowledge of IT and systems
  • Previous experience working in Flex HRM
  • Meritorious with post-secondary education in payroll and if you are a certified payroll specialist
