Linåkerskolan is the municipality's only 7-9 school with approximately 350 students. The school is divided into four work teams (grades 7-9), each with its own base. These bases contain classrooms, group rooms, science labs, staff workrooms, and a small assembly room. Our shared facilities include a department for special education, an auditorium, a gallery, and a student cafeteria with leisure-time assistants.

The most important thing for us at the school is that all our students become eligible for upper secondary school and that they are doing well on the way there. This is, of course, a major challenge, but it also unites all staff members, regardless of professional category, in the understanding that the solution requires enormous collaboration. Therefore, there is intensive work underway to continuously improve the organization and target interventions at the individual and group levels to achieve as much as possible. The dynamics at the school are high. We constantly change, adjust, and seek solutions to make things as good as possible for our students.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for you who are a teacher in Science/Mathematics and Technology.

You will teach in grades 7-9 in the aforementioned subjects.

Each employee belongs to a work team led by a work team leader, and you have a joint meeting time in the work team once a week. The employees in the work team have virtually all their teaching scheduled in their "own" work team.

The role includes mentorship, in which you have a special responsibility to follow up on and support the development of individual students in close collaboration with the student's guardians.

You collaborate with subject colleagues where development in the subject often occurs collectively through recurring subject group meetings. These subject groups develop, among other things, common frameworks regarding which subject areas (in each respective subject) are studied in which grade. At the same time, you as an individual teacher have great autonomy in conducting teaching. All teaching is based in Google Classroom.

We are constantly working at an organizational level to improve the organization and target interventions at the individual and group levels to achieve as much as possible. The dynamics at the school are high. We constantly change, adjust, and seek solutions to make things as good as possible for our students.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have previous experience working at the lower secondary school level. In your work, you have a clear student focus, see the competent student, are engaged in pedagogical development work, and see opportunities rather than obstacles. With your drive and engagement, you inspire your students.

You work to create good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. In your work, you are positive and engaged, have good cooperation skills, and feel comfortable communicating both verbally and in writing. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.
