About the role
As a Data Protection Lawyer at Knowit in Linköping, you will become part of a non-hierarchical and highly competent team of 150 specialists in the Nordics, of which approximately 35 are lawyers. At the Linköping office, work ranges from critical infrastructure and AI to exciting tech companies and pharmaceutical firms. Here, you will work cross-functionally with colleagues in other areas of expertise, such as cybersecurity.

In the role of Data Protection Lawyer, you work with supporting customers to ensure they meet the requirements within, among other things, GDPR, the AI Act, and other regulations governing information management. Here you will also act in a business development capacity and use your communication skills to build connections with new contacts both internally and externally.

Responsibilities
In the role of Data Protection Lawyer, you work closely with both customers and colleagues within cybersecurity to create secure, compliant, and sustainable solutions. You will, among other things:
- Provide qualified legal advice within data protection and information management, with a focus on GDPR, the AI Act, and related regulations.
- Conduct legal analyses, impact assessments (DPIA), and gap analyses.
- Create and implement data protection processes for, for example, product development, procurement, and incident management.
- Act in a business development capacity by identifying new customer needs and developing Knowit's presence in the local market.

To thrive and succeed in the role, we see that you are a business-minded lawyer who enjoys building networks. You are independent in your expertise but thrive best when you collaborate with others to solve complex challenges. We are looking for you who:
- Hold a degree in law.
- Have several years of experience in qualified work with data protection issues and GDPR.
- Have very good knowledge of Swedish and English, both in speech and writing.
It is meritorious if you have
- Basic knowledge within IT and cybersecurity.
- Experience with, or a strong interest in, business development and customer relations.
- Experience from the consulting industry.

For this role, it is an advantage to have Swedish citizenship as many of the clients are subject to the Security Protection Act.
