Vinsboskolan

In the northern part of Smedjebacken Municipality lies Morgårdshammar. Here you will find Vinsboskolan, grades Pre-K to 6. The area around the school offers forest areas suitable for play and hiking, with streams for water play. The school is a close neighbor to farmland animals. For the autumn term of 2025, the school has approximately 180 students. Within walking distance, there are waterways and Hagvallen, which offers track and field activities during the warm season and ice skating and skiing during the winter. Large grass fields and paved areas offer variety for play and games. The housing around the school consists mostly of villas but also includes apartment areas. Förskolan Sagan (The Fairy Tale Preschool) is a neighbor to the school.

Vinsboskolan was reopened in the autumn of 2025 after a major renovation.

Job Responsibilities

Teaching in the after-school center (fritidshem) and serving as a resource in the school.

In collaboration with other staff, you will be responsible for the planning, implementation, evaluation, and development of activities for students in the school and the after-school center. You will follow the curriculum section regarding after-school activities. Together with your colleagues, you will continue to develop the after-school activities. After-school pedagogy is the focus throughout the day for after-school educators, primarily in teaching at the after-school center but also during the school day, including school break activities.

You will work with children aged 6–12 years. You will teach your own groups or classes both in school and at the after-school center.

Other tasks may occur, and the content and conditions of the work may change over time.

Qualifications

• Degree in After-School Pedagogy or a Primary School Teacher degree with eligibility to teach in after-school centers.
• Competence in special education and/or literacy development is desirable.
• Experience from working in after-school centers and primary schools is meritorious.
