Do you have experience in accounting and thrive in a broad, operational role? We are now looking for an Accounting Assistant for an exciting consultancy assignment within Finance & Back Office with an international company undergoing change.
About the role
As an Accounting Assistant, you will become part of the Finance & Back Office team and work broadly with ongoing accounting, reconciliations, and economic administration. You will play a key role in daily operations and collaborate closely with both the finance department and other internal functions.
This role suits you if you have a good understanding of accounting processes, are self-motivated, and thrive in an environment where the pace varies and tasks are diverse.
Responsibilities
- Ongoing bookkeeping
- Reconciliation of balance sheet and bank accounts
- Handling and reporting of VAT and employer contributions
- Expense reporting
- Management of expense reports and corporate cards
- Generating outcome reports for internal follow-up
- Participation in monthly closing and ongoing economic administration
- Support to the Back Office function as needed
- Collaboration with internal functions within the business
We are looking for someone who
- Has post-secondary education in economics or accounting
- Has 3–5 years of experience as an accounting assistant or in a similar role
- Has good knowledge of ongoing accounting, taxes, and reconciliations
- Has very good system proficiency and good skills in Excel
- Works in a structured, meticulous, and independent manner
It is important that you are confident in your competence, can take personal responsibility, and have a good ability to prioritize and create structure in your work.
