Do you want to work closely with elected representatives and contribute to strong union engagement in workplaces within the banking and finance sector? Finansförbundet is now recruiting a temporary Club Development Officer for a secure and engaged organization.

About the position

This is a direct recruitment position, meaning the recruitment process is handled by Bravura and you will be employed directly by Finansförbundet. The position is a fixed-term assignment lasting from mid-August 2026 to June 30, 2027. You will be based at the office in the Globen area.

About the company

Finansförbundet is the largest trade union for employees in the banking and finance industry, organizing approximately 32,000 members across the country. Members work in both large banks and smaller, specialized operations. Finansförbundet advocates for members' trade union interests and influences development within the industry. The union is politically independent and a member of TCO.

The secretariat consists of approximately 40 employees, and you will become part of the Agreements, Advisory, and Organization unit. Here, advisors, negotiators, club development officers, and business coordinators work together. The culture is characterized by collaboration, structure, and a shared responsibility for the whole – here, colleagues help each other and solve things together.

What Finansförbundet offers:

  • A meaningful and developmental role in an organization where member engagement is the focus.
  • The opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where, together with colleagues and elected representatives, you contribute to strengthening trade union influence in workplaces across the country.

Responsibilities

As a Club Development Officer, you will work closely with the union's elected representatives and clubs to strengthen their organizational capacity, support development processes, and contribute to forming new clubs where trade union presence is lacking. You will be the contact person for a number of clubs and provide advice and support regarding board work, business planning, recruitment, member engagement, and the creation of local agreements. You will also participate in planning and implementing competence-building initiatives such as training and workshops, and promote networking and knowledge exchange between clubs. The work is largely digital, but meetings and activities with clubs will also take place.

Examples of tasks:

  • Support and monitor the organizational development and capacity of local clubs.
  • Provide advice to elected representatives on matters concerning board work, business planning, recruitment, and member engagement.
  • Form new clubs and contribute to recruiting new elected representatives.
  • Plan and conduct training and workshops for elected representatives.
  • Facilitate networking and knowledge exchange between clubs and contribute to the follow-up of implemented initiatives.

Education, experience, and personal qualities

Requirements:

  • Work experience that has given you an understanding of club democracy in a role where you have worked in a supportive and coaching capacity towards the organization and members. For example, from a trade union organization, as an elected representative, or from a member-driven/non-profit organization.
  • Experience in working in a coaching manner.
  • Good understanding of club democracy and how member-driven organizations function.
  • Very good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Merits:

  • Experience from trade unions.
  • Experience in conducting training or workshops.
  • Background as an elected representative, for example, in a trade union or other large association.
  • Understanding of the banking and finance industry.

To thrive in this role, you are a person who enjoys working with people and gains energy from collaboration. You are receptive and unpretentious, with the ability to support others through a coaching approach.

You work in a structured manner, take initiative, and are comfortable with a generalist work style where needs vary. At the same time, you act professionally and trustworthily in an environment where order, responsibility, and integrity are important values.
