About the role

You will join a team that primarily develops solutions for automated invoice flows and banking communication. The work involves both new development and ongoing updates to the client's platform, where you, together with both senior and junior colleagues, will develop market-leading solutions. Most team members possess full-stack competence, and although you will primarily work with backend development in Scala, the role also involves some frontend development in React. You will work in a DevOps environment and deploy code continuously, meaning full ownership of the platform and its maintenance.

To succeed in this role, you need a solid programming foundation from previous experience. Since the team works with a broad tech stack, it is also important that you are willing to learn and work with new technologies. Your daily tasks may range from new development on the platform to designing new integration solutions, testing, or bug hunting before new releases.

The company culture is characterized by close collaboration and a flat hierarchy, where no question is too silly. It is better to ask for help than to get stuck on a problem. There is an expectation for everyone to support each other, both within the team and across team boundaries.

We are looking for someone who

• Has 2–3 years of experience as a software developer.
• Has strong competence in backend development.
• Fluent in English and Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Has good knowledge of Java.
• Is a team player with a genuine interest in collaboration and problem-solving.

Advantageous

• Experience with distributed systems and container-based environments.
• Knowledge of functional programming.
• Experience with Scala or another JVM-based language.

About the employment

This is a consultancy assignment, which means you will be employed by Friday but work as a consultant at our client's premises. The ambition is that you will eventually transition into direct employment with the client.
