Do you want to work in an environment where technical complexity, quality, and long-term perspective are in focus? At Combitech, we are now looking for a Software Developer who wants to develop and further refine systems at the RunTime level together with experienced teams. With us, you will work on assignments where structure, robustness, and collaboration are crucial, and where you get close to both the system and the implementation in technically advanced environments.

What We Offer

At Combitech, we invest in our employees - they are the core, the brain, and the heart of our business. We invest in your competence development, create conditions for a balance between work and private life, and offer attractive benefits. We offer, among other things, wellness allowance, flexible working hours, reduced working hours (ATK), as well as discounts on e.g., grocery boxes, cinema tickets, and holiday resorts.

Here we develop together! Some examples are:

  • Tech Evenings - recurring AfterWorks where we explore technology and code together
  • Book Club - where we read and discuss inspiring literature
  • Leadership Network - for development within leadership
  • Course Week - twice a year with the opportunity for education in selectable subjects
  • Individual Development Plan - 40 hours per year allocated for your own development

With us, you get a workplace where you can feel a sense of belonging and where we actively work to keep the team together, regardless of the assignment. We are happy to see you at the office on Lindholmen for shared lunches and exchange.

As a consultant with us, you will work with companies and products at the technological forefront. You get a dynamic environment where you have the opportunity to develop within your area of interest. A major advantage of our team operations is that you are not locked into a specific team, technical area, or domain, but have the opportunity to switch over time.

What the Role Involves

In the role as a developer within RunTime, you work with the development, configuration, and integration of a runtime platform towards various customer projects. You are involved from start to finish - from planning and design to implementation and delivery - which gives a clear connection between what you build and how it is actually used. You work close to the core of the system in a broad and practical role where you combine software development with configuration and integration in complex Linux environments. A large part of the work involves scripting and automation in Python and Bash, as well as getting different parts of the system to work together in practice.

The role involves great variation. Depending on the project, you can work with everything from system and network configuration to security and hardening, e.g., SELinux, user management, APIs, and integrations, and sometimes even more frontend-related parts. This gives you the opportunity to develop broadly and move between several technical areas.

This is a role for you who are curious, flexible, and thrive working broadly in technology, rather than being locked to a specific area.

The work takes place largely on-site at the customer, which is a prerequisite in this type of safety-critical environment. The team is based in Gothenburg, and business travel may occur.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for you who have at least 5 years of experience in software development and are accustomed to working in Linux environments. You have experience with scripting and automation, e.g., in Python and Bash, and have worked with configuration and integration in systems with multiple dependencies. You are comfortable with debugging and have a good understanding of how different parts interact in larger systems. Experience in programming in C or C++ is not a requirement for the role and normally constitutes a smaller part of the work, but it is meritorious if you have it. The most important thing is that you enjoy working close to the system and appreciate variation in both technology and tasks.

We would like you to have an academic degree in data, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or equivalent, or alternatively, have built up equivalent competence through work experience.

Since the position involves work covered by defense secrecy, it is required that you undergo and pass a security clearance with register check.

Selection is made on an ongoing basis. We look forward to your application!

Come & Make a Difference

We believe that you do a better job if you can focus on the right things, therefore we make it easy to combine work with everyday life. We invest in our employees, they are the core, the brain, and the heart of our business. In addition, we stand on a solid foundation of high technology, research, and employment security with the defense and security company Saab as owner.
