Network Technician in Gothenburg – Operations, Delivery & Field Work
BrainMill ABVästra Götalands län, Göteborg
Previous experience is desired
Do you want a job where you actually get to do things — install equipment at customer sites, solve problems on the spot, and see immediately that what you've done works?
We are looking for a hands-on network technician in Gothenburg.
About Us
BrainMill provides network and internet services under the brand Neanet for properties, student housing, and organizations in Gothenburg — including the Chalmers area. We are a small, technically sharp company: short decision-making paths, modern tools, and significant personal responsibility. Network design and configuration are increasingly handled centrally with AI-assisted tools — which is why we now need you to be our hands and eyes in the field.
What You Do Here
The role has two sides — operations and delivery — and you switch between them every week.
Operations & Support
- Monitoring: Keep an eye on our monitoring systems, act on alarms, and flag patterns.
- Support: Own our entire ticket queue — respond, resolve, and follow up with customers clearly and on time.
- Incidents: Troubleshoot on-site according to runbooks, keep a cool head, and report what you see and do.
- WiFi Troubleshooting: Measure and troubleshoot wireless networks at customer sites — we use Ekahau and will train you on the tools.
Delivery
- New Customers: Be involved throughout the entire deployment process — site visits, staging and pre-configuration of equipment, installation, and verification on delivery day.
- Labs & Product Development: Manage our lab where we stage equipment and test new solutions for Neanet — here you also test new configurations before they reach the customer.
Throughout the Role
- Field Work: Install switches, access points, and other network equipment, run and label patch cables, and keep server rooms tidy and documented.
- AI-Assisted Workflows: Use our AI tools to generate configurations from runbooks, summarize incidents, and write documentation — and learn to verify the results before they touch customer equipment.
We Think You Are
- Handy and enjoy practical work — screwdrivers and cable cutters don't scare you
- Hold a valid Category B driver's license
- Service-oriented and write clearly in both Swedish and English
- Have basic networking knowledge: you know what a switch, port, and VLAN are, and can follow technical instructions
- Are structured and self-reliant — much of the work is done alone at customer sites
- Are curious and eager to learn — we'll teach you the rest
Meritorious (but not required)
- Vocational upper secondary education in network technology or experience from NOC/service desk
- Experience with monitoring tools (Grafana, Zabbix, Prometheus, or similar)
- Experience with WiFi measurement (Ekahau or similar)
- Experience using AI assistants in your work
- Experience with fiber/property networks
What We Offer
- Fixed monthly salary, full-time, permanent employment (starting with a probation period)
- Significant personal responsibility from day one and direct contact with the company owners
- Modern, AI-assisted ways of working — you grow into the role of someone who drives the tools, not someone replaced by them
- A small organization where your work is visible and makes a difference
- Office location in Gothenburg
